The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) announced that any candidate who commits violations during the election process will face punishment, ranging from expulsion from the elections to imprisonment.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Emad Jamil, head of the IHEC media team, said that special committees will closely monitor all candidates to prevent and record violations. He noted that the committees will also monitor early campaigning, distortions related to campaigns, and will be supported by security forces to ensure order.

Jamil stressed that candidates who break the law will face serious consequences, including exclusion from the elections or legal action leading to arrest and imprisonment. He explained that these monitoring and enforcement measures aim to guarantee free, fair, and impartial elections.
