Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced that a tripartite agreement has been signed between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and oil production companies to address the issue of non-oil revenues and the long-standing salary crisis.

Speaking to KDP-affiliated media on Tuesday, Hussein explained that the agreement covers oil production and exports and is directly linked to the federal budget. He emphasized that the deal would pave the way for resolving salary delays and related financial problems.

According to Hussein, daily oil production in the Kurdistan Region currently stands at 230,000 barrels, with 50,000 barrels allocated for domestic consumption. The remaining quantities will be handed over to Iraq’s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) for export.
