Sulaimanyah police announced that a woman was found dead in the Kareza wishk neighborhood last night, allegedly killed by her husband due to family problems.
In a statement on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, police said they received a report about the murder and immediately arrived at the scene, where forensic teams examined and documented the crime scene. An arrest warrant was issued by the judge, and the suspect identified as the victim’s husband was arrested by the emergency police.
According to preliminary investigations, the killing was linked to family disputes. The suspect has been detained under Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code, and investigations are ongoing.
