The tripartite agreement for the delivery of oil from the Kurdistan Region will expire early next year, according to Hamdi Shingali, deputy director of the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO).
Shingali said the agreement, signed between Baghdad, Erbil, and the relevant parties, allows for the delivery of oil from the Kurdistan Region for a period of three months. He noted that if the region requires more than 50,000 barrels per day, Iraq will meet that demand.
He added that the costs related to extraction and export may be subject to revision in future agreements.
