The Iraqi Ministry of Health has launched a nationwide campaign to vaccinate citizens against seasonal influenza across all health centers and several hospitals in Baghdad and other provinces.
In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said the campaign was initiated under the direction of Health Minister Saleh Mahdi Hasnawi to protect citizens from respiratory diseases and prevent the spread of the flu. The vaccine is being offered free of charge, particularly for those more vulnerable to illness.
The ministry emphasized the importance of vaccination in reducing the risk of influenza and urged citizens to visit the nearest health center to receive the shot, assuring that the vaccine is safe and approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
