Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw announced that 11 people were injured in a fire incident that broke out in Erbil on Saturday.
He told reporters that five of the injured have been released from hospital, while six others are still receiving medical care.
Shakhawan Saeed, spokesman for the Erbil Civil Defense Directorate, said the fire occurred at a gas station that contained gasoline, LPG, and a generator.
"We will give more details after the investigation,” Saeed said, adding that the incident likely occurred during the process of emptying gasoline, as the fuel was close to the generator and LPG tanks, which may have caused the blaze.
