The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) in Kirkuk has called on citizens to visit polling stations between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to collect their voting cards.
IHEC spokesman Ali Abbas told NRT on Saturday that more than 1.229 million people in Kirkuk are eligible to vote in the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections. He added that 141,000 new voter cards have been issued, including 60,000 for first-time voters.
