Erbil police announced on Monday that Jumhur Rostam Mohammed, born in 1964, has surrendered to their forces. Mohammed was wanted under an arrest warrant for the murder of two Arab citizens in Kifri district on September 24.
In a statement, police confirmed that Mohammed turned himself in earlier today. The arrest warrant issued against him was subsequently suspended by an investigating judge.
The incident in Kifri left two people shot dead, according to the district’s governor, Sahir Ali. Local officials described the case as a settlement-related dispute
