Sulaimanyah University announced that the new academic year will officially begin tomorrow, September 30, 2025. The decision was made during the university council’s regular meeting on September 24. Known as the "mother university,” Sulaimani University admits around 5,000 new students annually and had more than 27,500 students in the 2024–2025 academic year.
