Halabja police have arrested a 22-year-old man accused of killing two young men and injuring another in a shooting incident in the city, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to a police statement, the shooting occurred in Halabja. Authorities responded immediately, launching an investigation into the crime.
The suspect was identified through surveillance camera footage and witness testimonies. He later turned himself in to the police and confessed to the crime in front of the investigating judge.
The suspect is currently in custody and has been charged under Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code, which pertains to intentional homicide.
