The Sulaimanyah Traffic Directorate revealed that 774 traffic accidents have occurred across the province since the beginning of this year, according to information provided to NRT on Sunday.
A source from the directorate said that the accidents resulted in 142 fatalities, including 115 males and 27 females, while 2,792 people were injured. The official noted that the primary causes of the accidents were speeding, lack of adherence to safety measures, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driver inattention.
