The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological and Seismological Directorate announced on Saturday, December 6, 2025, that the sky will be partly cloudy before turning fully cloudy as a rain wave approaches the Kurdistan Region.
According to Iraqi weather forecasts, rainfall will begin tomorrow in the Kurdistan Region and other parts of Iraq. The wave is expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
The agency said the impact of the wave will intensify tomorrow, increasing rainfall amounts and raising the risk of flooding in parts of Erbil and Sulaimanyah provinces, along with a noticeable drop in temperature.
Rain is expected to continue on Tuesday with slightly weaker impact, while the wave is forecast to strengthen again on Wednesday, bringing heavier rainfall than previous days.
