The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has submitted the final results of the sixth round of parliamentary elections to the Federal Supreme Court for approval. IHEC spokeswoman Jumana Ghalai confirmed in a statement that all procedures have been completed and the results are now with the court for final certification.
The submission follows the commission’s announcement of the final election results on November 17, 2025. Once the Federal Court approves the results, the newly elected Iraqi parliament will be able to hold its first session, officially opening the path toward forming a new government.
