Twelve Kurdish refugees who had been stranded in Libya have been repatriated to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG), the Iraq Embassy in Libya announced on Sunday.
The embassy said it is working to return 19 additional Kurdish refugees in the coming period. According to its statement, around 350 Kurdish refugees remain trapped in Libya and Tunisia, many of whom are living in difficult and unstable conditions.
Meanwhile, in a separate tragedy, a migrant boat sank in the Aegean Sea, killing 18 people and leaving two others missing.
