More than 26,000 people visited Sulaimani’s Shar Hospital between November 1 and 30, the Sulaimanyah General Directorate of Health announced on Sunday.
According to the official statistics, a total of 26,502 patients were received during the month. Of these:
- 19,727 patients visited the Emergency Department
- 5,843 visited the OPD Department
- 880 were treated in the Artificial Kidney Unit
The health directorate also reported that 5,314 patients were admitted to the hospital, including:
- 1,552 in the Emergency Department
- 855 in the Artificial Kidney Department
- 558 in the Surgical Department
- 595 in the Respiratory Department
- 510 in the Fracture Department
During the same month, the hospital conducted 1,261 surgeries, including:
- 159 Heart Catheterization
- 106 mesh and balloon surgeries
- 65 pediatric surgeries
In total, the hospital carried out:
- 70,979 laboratory tests
- 1,768 cardiac charts
- 6,593 X-rays
- 288 ultrasounds (first ultrasound figure)
- 2,715 ultrasounds (second ultrasound figure)
- 660 natural treatments
