Abdulrahim Samawi, president of the Taml Research Center, said on Monday that Mazlum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed are expected to visit Turkey next month. The visit is anticipated to include a meeting with Abdullah Ocalan and the signing of a new agreement that would complement the March agreement between Mazlum Abdi and Ahmed Sharia.
Samawi noted that President Erdogan had previously stated that a comprehensive agreement could be reached between Kurds, Turks, and Arabs, which has contributed to a shift in Ankara’s political discourse toward the PKK.
He added that the new laws under discussion are expected to guarantee the cultural and ethnic rights of the Kurdish people in Turkey.
