The outgoing Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has not yet handed over the 120 billion dinars allocated for the months of August and September and has not made any decision regarding the payment of salaries, according to the Media and Information Office.

Masrour Barzani and Qubad Talabani chaired a regular cabinet meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The meeting discussed the results of the recent financial review conducted by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, as well as steps to pay employees’ salaries.

Despite multiple promises, the outgoing government has yet to pay the salaries for the past four months of this year.

Srwa Abdulwahid, leader of the new generation movement list in Sulaimanyah province, said Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani told her that the salaries will be sent after 30 days of oil delivery and the transfer of 120 billion dinars.
