The Iraqi State Council meeting on non-oil revenues of the Kurdistan Region, scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was postponed.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is now set to hold its final meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to decide on the amount of non-oil revenues to be handed over to Baghdad.
Last week, the Council of Ministers asked the State Council to provide its opinion on the disputes between Erbil and Baghdad regarding non-oil revenues.
The State Council includes six institutions, three of which are boards and three are courts. Tuesday’s meeting was only consultative, with the final decision resting with the General Board.
