The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has confirmed it is fully prepared to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections on schedule without any delays or changes.
Spokeswoman Jumana Ghalai said Thursday that over three million biometric voter cards have been distributed through more than 1,000 registration centers across all Iraqi provinces. She added that training courses for polling officials will begin in the coming days to ensure proper handling of voting procedures and equipment.
Ghalai also noted that mobile teams have been deployed to deliver biometric cards directly to citizens’ homes, further ensuring readiness for the elections.
