The outgoing government says the 50,000 barrels of oil provided by Baghdad are not enough to meet the needs of the Kurdistan Region, but did not explain why citizens still cannot get gasoline for 450 dinars per liter and kerosene for 30,000 dinars per barrel.

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Natural Resources Minister Kamal Mohammed told KDP media on Monday that 1.5 million liters of gasoline are produced daily and sold at a subsidized price of 750 dinars per liter.

Reports indicate that the outgoing government sells oil at low prices to refineries affiliated with the KDP and PUK, which then sell it to citizens at much higher prices, while in other Iraqi provinces, gasoline, gas, and kerosene are provided at subsidized rates.
