Bafel Talabani strongly condemned Thursday’s terrorist attack on the Kormor gas field.
He said the attackers aimed to harm the livelihoods of citizens in both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, describing the incident as an attempt to destabilize the country.
Talabani vowed a firm and decisive response, saying all necessary measures will be taken to protect the lives of citizens.
He emphasized that "weapons must only be in the hands of the state” and that militias operating outside the framework of law must be dismantled or eliminated.
