The Iraqi High Election Commission (IHEC) announced on Tuesday that it has expelled a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) candidate from the Sulaimanyah constituency for forging his education certificate.
According to the commission, the decision came after the Ministry of Education confirmed that the candidate’s certificate was invalid. As a result, the IHEC withdrew his candidacy and revoked his right to run in the upcoming elections.
