Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime said that the attack on the Kormor field targets the daily lives of the people and strikes at the economic infrastructure of both the Kurdistan Region and all of Iraq.
In a statement on Thursday, Qubad Talabani said the repeated attacks on the Kurdistan Region’s economic installations represent a dangerous escalation and require urgent, practical steps to confront them.
He stressed that it is the duty of the federal government to swiftly identify the perpetrators and those behind the attack, present the facts to the public, and ensure they face punishment and legal accountability.
Talabani added that such attacks by foreign groups and forces are no longer acceptable, as they contribute to political tension and security instability.
