Iraq’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday that dozens of drug dealers have been arrested across the country since the start of this month.
According to the ministry’s statement, 59 individuals accused of drug trafficking were detained in coordinated operations in several Iraqi cities. More than 250 kilograms of various narcotics were also seized during the same period.
The ministry emphasized that the campaign against drug trafficking will continue, describing it as a critical step in protecting Iraqi society from the growing threat of drugs.
