Fifty-three abroad medicine graduates have criticized the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Minister of Health for secretly hiring several employees while publicly stating that recruitment was suspended.

In a statement issued Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the graduates, members of the Kurdistan Regional Doctors Union, said they have repeatedly protested, submitted memoranda, and faced threats and harassment both inside and outside the Ministry of Health. Despite their grievances, the ministry has not restored their rights, the statement added. All 53 graduates completed medical education abroad and had their degrees officially recognized.
