Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said on Saturday that the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad have reached an agreement which will be implemented in the coming days, ensuring the rights of the Kurdish people.
Barzani explained that in the latest talks with Baghdad, it was confirmed that dialogue between the oil companies and the Iraqi government continues to remove existing obstacles. He added that he hoped the issue of public sector salaries would no longer make headlines.
However, the fate of the seventh and eighth month salaries of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) remains unclear due to the outdated government’s failure to comply with agreements signed with Baghdad.
