Omid Sabah, Head of the Office of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, said that if the salary funds arrive this week, the distribution process will begin immediately.
He said on Wednesday that the Iraqi Council of Ministers has directed the Ministry of Finance to send the October salaries to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
A source told NRT that Baghdad is expected to transfer more than 950 billion dinars for the October salaries. The source added that Baghdad has blamed the outgoing Kurdistan Regional Government for delays related to the two remaining salaries at the end of this year.
