A collection of historical artifacts has been discovered in Iraq’s Babylon province following heavy rainfall earlier this month.

Babylon Governor Adnan Dlemi said on Wednesday that the discoveries include around 350 coins, 10 copper pieces, two gold pieces, and several stone objects shaped like humans and animals, along with other historical items dating back to the Hammurabi period.

According to initial research, some of the artifacts date back to the early Islamic era, others to the Abbasid period, and some as far back as 331 BC.
