According to weather forecasts, a wave of rain and severe cold is expected to affect the Kurdistan Region, with snowfall anticipated in high mountainous areas.
NRT weather expert Shalaw Hidayat said on Monday that a wave of rain will impact different parts of the Kurdistan Region for two days starting tomorrow. He noted that toward the end of this month, a stronger wave of rainfall will reach the region, bringing very good levels of precipitation to all areas.
Hidayat added that a strong cold spell is expected to cover the region during January and February, coinciding with the New Year period.
