More than 300 Kurdish refugees have been returned from Libya this year

The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Returned Refugees Association, Bakr Ali, announced that 404 Kurdish refugees have been returned to the Kurdistan Region from Libya and Tunisia since the beginning of this year.

According to Ali, about 319 refugees have been repatriated from Libya, while 85 have been returned from Tunisia. However, 20 migrants have not yet been returned.

He added that seven Kurdish refugees remain in Bulgaria and two in Armenia, awaiting repatriation.

Meanwhile, the body of a Kurdish refugee who died in Libya was returned to the Kurdistan Region this afternoon, his relatives told NRT.
