The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has distributed 2.25 million biometric voter cards in preparation for the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections.
Hassan Hadi Zair, a member of the commission, told Sabah newspaper that the process of organizing the parliamentary elections is moving forward smoothly and according to established plans.
According to the official Iraqi newspaper, the commission has completed the distribution of 2.25 million biometric voter cards across the country.
The Iraqi parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in November.
