After truck drivers gathered at the Chiman and Daraman checkpoints in Kirkuk against long waits and obstacles, the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said Thursday that their problem has been resolved.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that trucks carrying domestic products will no longer need sonar testing to pass through checkpoints. The Interior Ministry will now allow the free passage of trucks from the Kurdistan Region to Iraqi provinces.
