The New Generation Movement has declared its intention to participate in the formation of the next Iraqi government, unveiling a program under the slogan "Towards participation in the Iraqi government and saving the citizens from this bad situation.”

Focus on Citizens’ Welfare

The movement announced that its participation will prioritize solving the chronic problems faced by the people of the Kurdistan Region through the Iraqi Council of Ministers, distancing itself from the dominance of the KDP and PUK.

Five Main Promises

  1. Salary Resolution – All public employees and pensioners in the Kurdistan Region will receive their salaries directly through banks, with a pledge to completely end arrears.
  2. Representation in Baghdad – The movement vowed to block the PUK and KDP from monopolizing representation of Kurdistan’s citizens in Baghdad, accusing them of exploiting people’s salaries, strength, and future.
  3. Marriage Advance for Youth – A financial package will be provided to young people as a marriage advance, to be distributed through the Iraqi government and banking system.
  4. Cheap Fuel Supplies – The party committed to providing gasoline and fuel from Baghdad at reduced prices for citizens in the Kurdistan Region.
  5. Accountability for PUK & KDP – New Generation promised to confront what it described as the destructive authority of the ruling parties in the region, pledging to resolve issues through Baghdad and restore fairness to citizens.

Strategic Positioning

By declaring these promises, the New Generation Movement aims to differentiate itself as the true defender of ordinary citizens, particularly employees, pensioners, and youth, while positioning itself as an alternative to the decades-long dominance of the two ruling Kurdish parties
