Jamal Kochar said on Wednesday that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) must send 120 billion dinars to Baghdad to ensure the payment of October salaries.
Kochar stressed that the salaries for the 11th and 12th months should not be delayed or transferred to 2026, noting that they are actual expenditures that must be paid within the current fiscal year.
He added that the salary for December has not yet been transferred from Baghdad, warning that any delay would negatively affect public sector employees.
Kochar also said that the Kurdistan Regional Government must increase the amount of funds transferred to Baghdad in line with rising expenditures, emphasizing the need for coordination to ensure timely salary payments.
