The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency has forecast rain and snowfall across the Kurdistan Region, with snow expected mainly in the mountainous and border areas.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Directorate, skies will be cloudy to partly cloudy in most parts of the region, and the current wave of rain and snow is expected to subside by night.
Meanwhile, Pashtiwan Penjweni, a weather expert for NRT, said that strong winds are expected to hit Sulaimanyah and several other areas in the coming days.
He explained that the winds will be northern winds and warned that they may cause damage, stressing the need to issue safety warnings and guidance to citizens.
