Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said on Monday that the Kurdistan Region aims to position itself as an important economic and technological hub in the future.
He explained that the government’s ongoing efforts focus on developing the skills of Kurdistan’s youth in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship, emphasizing that young people in the region are talented and innovative, capable of playing a vital role in applying new technologies and artificial intelligence to the development process.
Talabani’s remarks come at a time when the Kurdistan Region faces significant unemployment challenges, with tens of thousands of graduates leaving universities each year without finding jobs. According to available figures, more than 700,000 university graduates are currently unemployed across the region.
