Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, met today with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi in Cairo to discuss Iran’s nuclear program and explore a resumption of bilateral coordination.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has convened the meeting, emphasizing the need for both parties to reach a constructive agreement that reduces regional tensions. Abdelatty stated, "It is important for both sides to reach a conclusion that serves the interests of all, diminishes conflict, and restores security in the region.”
This high-level engagement comes after Iran suspended coordination with the IAEA following Israeli attacks in June.
