The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Political Bureau announced that it has reached an agreement with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on most of the points necessary to form a new government in the Kurdistan Region.
Fazel Mirani, Head of the Executive Committee of the KDP Political Bureau, told party-affiliated media that the negotiating delegations of the KDP and the PUK will soon resume talks to finalize the formation of the 10th cabinet.
He added that while the two sides have agreed on the majority of points, the remaining unresolved issues will be discussed in the upcoming meeting. Mirani stressed that forming a new cabinet is now more urgent than ever.
