The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) announced Thursday that the election campaign will officially end at 7 a.m. on November 8, after which the electoral silence phase will begin.
According to the commission’s statement, any political party or coalition that violates the election silence will face legal measures in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
Special voting for the Iraqi parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place on November 9, while the general voting will begin on November 11, 48 hours later.
