A training accident at the Qalachualan Military College in the Kurdistan Region turned deadly on Tuesday when an RPG round exploded during exercises.
A spokesman for the 70th Forces told NRT that the blast killed one person and injured six others. Among the injured were three officers, one of whom was reported to be in critical condition and transported to an emergency hospital for treatment.
The incident has raised concerns over safety protocols during live-fire training sessions at the military college, located in southern Kurdistan.
