The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is expected to send another delegation to Baghdad after rejecting Baghdad’s demands regarding the handover of oil and non-oil revenues.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi prime minister ordered the transfer of salaries for the sixth month to the Kurdistan Region and gave the joint committees of both sides one more week to finalize a draft agreement on revenue handover.
Despite not receiving salaries for the seventh and eighth months of the year, the KRG maintained a firm stance during Thursday’s meetings, and no agreement was reached.
According to reports, if the committees fail to reach a deal by Tuesday, the issue may be referred to the Federal Court for a decision.
