Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani said Tuesday that the Kurdistan Region must comply with Federal Court rulings, particularly regarding the handover of oil and non-oil revenues, if salaries are to be released.

Speaking at a press briefing, Sudani emphasized that Baghdad does not intend to dissolve the region, but warned that continued non-compliance—especially failure to deliver revenues—would delay salary disbursements. "We are awaiting the completion of the Finance Committee’s audit to make a decision on sending salaries,” he said.

The prime minister noted that funds for the Kurdistan Region's elections have already been allocated, but the regional government has yet to form a new cabinet after eight to nine months. He also confirmed that the Iraqi Council of Ministers is meeting today to further discuss the salary issue.

Meanwhile, the Federal Court has postponed its ruling on the KRG salary case to November 28, while reports suggest that the PUK and KDP have requested the transfer of two to three months of salaries before the elections, despite not agreeing to hand over oil revenues to Baghdad.
