The Federal Court of Iraq (FCI) announced on Sunday that it has postponed the hearing on the New Generation Movement’s complaint regarding the dissolution of the current session of the Kurdistan Region’s parliament until July 21.
The complaint was filed by Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir, leader of the New Generation Movement, who had earlier warned that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) must dissolve the parliament if it fails to meet its legal and constitutional duties. The case centers on the legitimacy and extension of the Kurdish parliament’s term.
