A young Kurdish man has died while attempting to reach Europe by sea, an NRT correspondent reported on Saturday. The man was among a group of migrants traveling from Tunisia to Italy when he became exhausted and lost consciousness aboard the boat.
Upon arrival near the Italian coast, he was transported to a hospital in Palermo, Sicily. Despite receiving medical care for several days, doctors were unable to save his life.
