The Iraqi Hajj and Umrah Commission has officially approached the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to request an increase in Iraq’s pilgrim quota for the upcoming Hajj season.

Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi, head of the Commission, stated that Iraq continues to build on its recent achievements, having won the Labaytum Award for Hajj services three consecutive times. "We are committed to further improving services for our pilgrims, the Guests of AL Rahman,” he said, adding that preparations for the next Hajj season have already begun with a focus on service quality and operational readiness.

Al-Masoudi confirmed that an official letter has been sent to Saudi authorities requesting a higher quota, and discussions are ongoing to assess the capacity of the holy sites. He affirmed that services this year will surpass previous seasons with the efforts of Commission staff and partner institutions.
