Kawa Abdulqadir, a former New Generation Movement MP and leader of the faction in the previous Kurdistan Parliament, strongly criticized the arrest of Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir and the confiscation of his assets, calling it a deliberate and pre-planned conspiracy between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
Speaking on Sunday, August 31, 2025, Abdulqadir said the seizure of 60 properties belonging to Nalia and Chavi companies was "a pre-planned conspiracy of the PUK and KDP against the New Generation Movement through the courts and government institutions.”
He argued that the move was deliberately timed with the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections to weaken and dismantle the New Generation Movement.
"The implementation of this conspiracy coincides with the approaching Iraqi parliamentary elections in order to break and weaken the New Generation Movement, but we assure all the conspirators that we will defeat these ugly and illegal plots and see the results in the Iraqi parliamentary elections on November 11,” he said.
Abdulqadir stressed that the New Generation Movement draws its strength from "the heart of the Kurdish people” and relies on both God guidance and public support.
"Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir and the New Generation Movement will stand firm in their unchanging position,” he added
