The Iraqi Ministry of Commerce announced that it will send all financial entitlements of farmers in the Kurdistan Region and other delayed areas. The ministry said payments will begin with farmers who have delivered less than 50 tons of wheat.
Commerce Minister Asir Daud, following a meeting with Deputy Speaker of Parliament Shakhawan Abdullah on Sunday, August 31, 2025, confirmed that the government is committed to settling farmers’ dues. He added that after completing payments to those with deliveries under 50 tons, farmers who have supplied more than 50 tons will also receive their entitlements.
