The Sulaimani Civil Defense Directorate announced on Monday that a fire broke out in six warehouses near the Arbat checkpoint on the main road between Arbat and Sulaimani.
According to the statement, Civil Defense teams were dispatched quickly to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control after several hours of efforts. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, though the material damage is under assessment.
Authorities have not yet revealed the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.
