KRG Weather Forecast: Heat Wave to End Today, Cooler Temperatures Expected Tomorrow

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Meteorological Agency announced on Sunday, July 27, 2025, that the extreme heat wave that has affected much of the Kurdistan Region over the past week will end today.

According to the agency, temperatures are expected to drop slightly starting Monday, accompanied by partly cloudy skies. The shift marks a return to more typical summer weather for the region.

Forecasted high temperatures for Sunday included:

  • Erbil: 47°C

  • Sulaimani: 44°C

  • Duhok: 45°C

  • Kirkuk: 48°C

  • Zakho: 47°C

  • Halabja: 45°C

  • Soran: 44°C

  • Haji Omeran: 32°C

  • Garmian: 49°C

Authorities continue to advise residents to take precautions against heat exposure until the weather cools.
