The Turkish Civil Aviation Authority (TAA) has extended its airspace ban on flights to Sulaymaniyah International Airport until October.
In a statement issued Sunday, the TAA confirmed that the restriction applies to all flights to and from Sulaymaniyah, including transit flights through Turkish airspace.
Turkey initially suspended flights to Sulaymaniyah Airport on April 3, citing security concerns. The extension means continued disruption for travelers and airlines operating in the region.
